This article provides basic steps for setting up email software to use with your own domain email address that is hosted by Net4me. Net4me supports two types of email - IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) and POP (Post Office Protocol).

Which should I use?
We recommend the use of IMAP as this means your emails are 'in the cloud' and can be accessed by more than one device. Email is synchronised across all your devices as it's managed on the email server. POP is from a time when you would access your email from one device only i.e. your PC. POP simply downloads email to your device and then (but not always) deletes the email from the server.
